GHANA PROJECTS

Banda/Ligbi
School Block
Banda/Ligbi
Clinic
By virtue of the fact that Pioneers tends to work
in very remote, deprived and invariably poor localities, the mission
has more often than not embarked upon other developmental projects
such as social amenities. For example in Ghana, in the Ejura Sekyere
Odumase district, we have been involved in bore-hole drilling projects,
building church pavilions, feeder road – at least 1 good stretch,
distribution of used clothing and flip-flops. In Togo, provision
of a small health facility with maternity service and basic education
out-fit for school going children has been crucial. All over, medical
missions have become very needful almost all the time.
Basic classroom, administration block and hostel
facilities have been put in place for the Banda Secondary School
to reopen this September. Thanks to Lighthouse Church for mobilizing
funds for a bore hole to be drilled on the campus to meet urgent
water need.
We have made progress in getting the assurances
of a missionary medical officer who is prepared to relocate to Banda
Ahenkro and build a team to run the Clinic. We are in the process
of mobilizing essential equipment. Let us know if you want to help
in any way possible.
Educational Scholarship Program Launched
As we serve in deprived and remote communities
in Ghana, one comes across numerous kids who are unable to further
their education because of lack of funds. In response to this need,
an educational scholarship fund has been launched to reach out to
needy but brilliant students in rural communities.
We hope to serve scholarship recipients by building
bridges to their world through education, prayer and encouragement.
We currently are sponsoring a student in high school and another
who just gained admission into the University of Cape Coast to pursue
a Bachelor of Commerce program. We welcome donations to serve other
needy applicants.
